About Dave Kushner

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Dave Kushner is an Emmy nominated, Grammy Award winning musician perhaps best known as the rhythm guitarist for the rock Supergroup Velvet Revolver.

While in Velvet Revolver, bandmates and the press often referred to Dave as Velvet Revolver’s “secret weapon”, due to his technical capabilities and songwriting prowess. In January 2009, Dave was named “One of The 50 Greatest Unsung Guitar Heroes Ever” by Total Guitar (Europe’s best selling guitar magazine.)

In between writing and touring Dave also had the opportunity to collaborate with musical greats Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Tim McGraw, Brian Wilson, Steven Tyler, Billy Joe Armstrong and Bono to name a few.

In 2005 Dave was honored to perform at Live 8 in London’s Hyde Park, sharing the stage with Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, The Who, U2, Sting and Madonna.

Composer for TV & Film

At the end of Velvet Revolver’s 6-year run, Dave was presented the opportunity to create the theme song for the FX series, “Sons Of Anarchy” for which he received an Emmy nomination for ‘Outstanding Main Title Theme Music’. He also contributed additional music to help create the shows overall sound.

Over the last 15 years, Dave has continued to expand as a songwriter, composer and live performer. in 2009, he was hired as co-composer on the ABC primetime police drama “Detroit 1-8-7”. Dave then accepted the job as the composer for the TBS’ hit comedy series “Sullivan & Son” in which he was able to expand on his already diverse musical palette. In 2012, Dave collaborated with members of Weezer and Queen’s of The Stone Age to compose a song for The Avengers Soundtrack (Marvel Studios) “Count Me Out”. He’s gone on to work with Netflix, Amazon, FX, Fox, Disney, TBS, ABC to name a few. He’s worked with Vince Vaughn, Bill Burr, Peter Billingsley and more.
